Vignelli Center collaborating with Fordham University on Design and Humanitarian Conference
Two goals of the Vignelli Center for Design Studies are collaboration and public good. Preliminary planning is underway for a major conference on the interface between design and humanitarianism. The conference is titled, “Innovating to Respond: Designing Solutions for Humanitarian Needs.” Fordham University’s Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs will join with RIT’s Vignelli Center for Design Studies in sponsoring the event. With other major programming and speakers, the conference will afford Vignelli Center projects for human need to be shared with others. Anne Ghory-Goodman and R. Roger Remington are representing the Vignelli Center in this event. Brendan Cahill and Ellie Frazier are Fordham’s planners. The conference is slated for March, 2018 at Fordham’s Lincoln Center campus in New York.
