Olympic Poster Project

Senior Graphic Design majors engaged in a challenging project to research topics about the Olympic Games and design a large format (30 x 41 inch) poster presenting specific information using a range of information design strategies: diagrams, graphs, maps, timelines and matrices.

From the Vignelli Archives, the Unigrid served as an organizational basis for the posters. Massimo Vignelli designed the Unigrid for the National Park Service in 1977. It served as an important precedent and influence in developing the flexible 6-column grid that is the underlying structure for the student posters.
